Trintech pricing for Adra and Cadency in 2026

Trintech does not publish prices for Adra or Cadency. Both are sold through a demo and a quote built on users, modules, entities and transaction volume. The best public number comes from SpendHound, which tracks real contracts: companies with 50 to 1,000 employees pay Trintech about $119,272 a year on average, and enterprises with more than 1,000 employees about $266,412. Adra, the mid-market suite, sits at the low end of that range, Cadency at the high end, and both add implementation on top. If you mainly need bank, payout and invoice matching, self-serve tools with published plans start at $888 a year.

SpendHound's averages mix Adra and Cadency contracts, so read them as "what Trintech customers of that size spend", not as a list price for either product. A first Adra quote for a small mid-market team can land well below the $119,272 average, while a multi entity Cadency rollout can pass it in the first year.

Adra vs Cadency, and which one you will be quoted

Trintech sells two separate platforms, and the one you are offered drives the price more than anything else.

Adra is the mid-market suite. ERP Research places it with companies of roughly $100M to $2B in revenue, and it is built from modules you license separately: Adra Matcher for transaction matching, Adra Balancer for balance sheet reconciliations, Adra Task Manager for the close checklist, Adra Journal Entry for posting entries back to the ERP and Adra Analytics for dashboards.

Cadency is the enterprise platform for global groups. It covers account reconciliation, transaction matching, journal entry automation, intercompany and close management at scale, with deep ERP connections to SAP and Oracle. It is priced and implemented like an enterprise system, with a project team and a services contract.

If your company is under a few hundred million in revenue and runs QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite or Dynamics, expect Adra. If you run several ERPs across countries, expect Cadency.

What drives a Trintech quote

  • Modules. Each Adra module or Cadency capability is a line on the quote, so licensing Matcher, Balancer and Task Manager together costs more than starting with one.
  • Users. Preparers, reviewers and approvers are typically counted, and controllers who only review still count as users.
  • Entities and accounts. More legal entities and more balance sheet accounts mean a bigger configuration and a higher tier.
  • Transaction volume. Matching is usually tied to the number of transactions or data sources you bring in.
  • Term length. Multi year commitments lower the annual rate, but lock you into a renewal price you should cap in writing.
  • Implementation and services. Partner or Trintech services are a separate contract and often the biggest surprise in year one.

The quote is negotiable. A written competing quote, a published price from a comparable tool and a clear scope of the accounts you actually need automated are the three strongest levers.

Does Trintech charge for implementation?

Yes. Implementation is quoted separately from the subscription for both products. For Cadency, third party estimates put professional services in the low to mid six figures for large enterprises. Adra is lighter, and DOKKA reports its implementation at roughly 30% less than Cadency, but it is still a project with configuration, ERP connections and testing. Ask whether services are fixed fee, which accounts and match rules are in scope, and what a change after go live costs.

What to budget for Trintech in year one

Year one has three parts: the subscription, implementation services and your own team's time. A planning example for a mid-market company with 12 finance users and Adra Balancer plus Task Manager: a subscription somewhere between the low five figures and the $119,272 SpendHound average depending on scope, a placeholder services line of 20% to 50% of the subscription until you have the services quote, and several weeks of a senior accountant's time to map accounts and test rules. Replace each line with your written quote.

Before you budget that, check what is actually slowing your close. If the late items are bank lines, Stripe and PayPal payouts and customer payments that will not match, a dedicated matching tool covers that job for a fraction of the cost. If the slowdown is customers paying late in the first place, accounts receivable automation that chases each open invoice fixes the cause rather than the reconciliation. Questions to ask Trintech before you sign

  • Is this quote for Adra or Cadency, and which modules are included?
  • How many users are included, and how are reviewers and approvers counted?
  • Is the price tied to entities, accounts or transaction volume, and what happens when we grow past the tier?
  • What exactly is in the implementation scope, and is it a fixed fee?
  • Who implements, Trintech or a partner, and who supports us after go live?
  • What is the renewal cap after the first term?

When a self-serve tool costs less than Trintech

Trintech earns its price when you have many entities, hundreds of balance sheet accounts, audit requirements across countries and a team to own the system. If your problem is narrower, matching the bank to the ledger, processor payouts to deposits and payments to invoices, a self-serve tool does that job without a sales cycle or a services contract. Reconciles plans start at $74 a month billed yearly for 3 accounts and 3,000 matched transactions, Growth covers 5 entities and all processors at $199 a month billed yearly, and Scale handles 25 entities and 100,000 transactions at $499 a month billed yearly. You can test matching on your own files before you pay.

Our Trintech alternatives page compares Adra and Cadency with other options in an honest table, and the BlackLine pricing and FloQast pricing guides show what the other close suites cost.

Trintech pricing questions

How much does Trintech cost?

Trintech does not publish prices. SpendHound, which tracks real contracts from 160 Trintech customers, puts average spend at about $119,272 a year for companies with 50 to 1,000 employees and about $266,412 a year for enterprises. Implementation is quoted separately on top of the subscription.

Is Adra cheaper than Cadency?

Yes. Adra is Trintech's mid-market suite and is licensed by module, so it costs far less than Cadency, the enterprise platform. Third party estimates put large Cadency subscriptions at $300,000 to more than $1M a year, while Adra implementations are reported at roughly 30% less than Cadency.

Does Trintech have a free trial?

No. Trintech does not offer a self-serve trial for Adra or Cadency. Access starts with a demo, a scoping call and a quote. Tools with published plans let you upload your own bank and ledger files and see matches before you pay anything.

What are the Adra modules?

Adra is built from Adra Matcher for transaction matching, Adra Balancer for balance sheet reconciliations, Adra Task Manager for close checklists, Adra Journal Entry for posting entries to the ERP and Adra Analytics for reporting. You license only the modules you need, and each one adds to the quote.
