Terms of service

Reconciles reads bank statements, invoice and bill lists, ledger exports and payment processor or marketplace reports, matches their lines, explains the matches, lists exceptions and produces reports and journal entry files.

Reconciles is a tool for finance professionals. Matches, suggestions and journal entries are proposals that you review before you rely on them or import them into your accounting system. You remain responsible for your books, your financial statements and your tax filings.

The service is intended for businesses. You confirm that you use it for your business or profession and not as a consumer.

You need a confirmed email address to create an account. Keep your password secret and tell us at once at [email protected] if you suspect someone else has used your account.

The workspace owner decides who joins the workspace and with which role, and is responsible for the actions of its members.

You can run the demo once without an account and once more after you sign up, within the limits shown on the site. Demo results show part of the matched rows, sample exports include part of the rows and carry a preview mark, and demo files are processed in your browser and not stored by us. The demo is a one-time trial and not a plan.

Reconciles is sold as a subscription. You choose Starter, Growth or Scale, billed monthly or yearly, at the prices shown on the pricing page when you subscribe. Prices exclude taxes, which are added where the law requires.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. We charge the card on file at the start of each period.

Each plan includes the monthly limits shown on the pricing page, such as accounts, transactions, entities, seats and AI match suggestions. When you reach a limit, new runs pause until you upgrade or the next period starts.

Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge. Downgrades take effect from the next billing period.

If a payment fails, we retry it and email you. If it still fails, access to the workspace may be limited until the payment is made.

We may change prices for future periods. We tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.

You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and does not renew after that. Fees for a period that has started are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

You keep all rights to the files you upload and to the results. You give us the right to process them only to provide the service to you. Processing of personal data inside your files is governed by our data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms.

You confirm that you have the right to upload the files and that doing so does not break any law or agreement.

When your workspace is closed, we delete your files after the retention period set in the workspace, and you can export your results before that.

You may not use Reconciles to break the law, to process data you have no right to process, to attempt to access other workspaces, to overload or probe the service, or to resell it without our written consent.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules or puts the service or other customers at risk, and we tell you why.

We work to keep Reconciles available at all times, but maintenance and events outside our control can cause interruptions. Support is provided by email at [email protected].

The service is provided as described on the site. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data that you could have prevented by reviewing results or keeping your own copies, and our total liability in any twelve months is limited to the fees you paid for the service in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms. We email account holders about material changes at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the provider has its registered office. Disputes go to the courts competent for that office, unless mandatory law gives you another forum.
