Matches before rules
You upload a bank statement and a ledger, payout or invoice file. The engine pairs one to one, one to many and many to one first, and you save the rules that worked afterward instead of specifying them for a services team.
Reconciles is a ReconArt alternative for finance teams that need bank lines, processor payouts and invoice payments matched every month without buying capacity built for a bank. ReconArt is quote based, and third-party listings put its entry edition at about $1,500 a month for 25 million transactions a year. Reconciles publishes plans from $888 a year, has no implementation fee and shows matched pairs from your own files before you create an account.
Your files are processed in your browser and never stored. No card needed.
ReconArt is a modular reconciliation and close platform. Its site lists bank, credit card, AP and AR, and securities, positions and trades reconciliation, plus financial close management, journal entry approvals, balance sheet certification, intercompany reconciliation, IntelliDoc for PDF extraction and a Data Factory for importing and validating data. Its customer stories lean toward banks, payment and money remittance companies, insurers, travel, retail and manufacturing.
That is a strong fit when you reconcile at the scale of a payment processor, or when securities and intercompany sit in the same project as bank matching. It is a heavy purchase when the actual problem is that Stripe payouts land net of fees, customers pay several invoices with one ACH, and the bank account will not tie to QuickBooks or NetSuite until day four of the close. That is a matching job, and it is the only job Reconciles does.
We only state facts about ReconArt that ReconArt or a named listing or procurement source publishes. Ask ReconArt for current editions and terms, and run this month's files through Reconciles before the demo.

ReconArt figures come from third-party listings and Vendr, collected in our breakdown of ReconArt pricing. Treat them as planning numbers until ReconArt puts a quote in writing.
Volume is the clearest way to tell whether ReconArt or a lighter ReconArt competitor fits. Count the bank lines, payout lines and invoice payments you match in a normal month, then compare.
| Your monthly volume | What it usually means | Plan that covers it |
|---|---|---|
| Under 3,000 | One or two operating accounts and a processor | Reconciles Starter, $888 a year |
| 3,000 to 20,000 | Several bank accounts, Stripe or Shopify payouts, up to 5 entities | Reconciles Growth, $2,388 a year |
| 20,000 to 100,000 | Marketplace or multi-entity group with daily settlements | Reconciles Scale, $5,988 a year |
| Over 100,000 | Payment processor, remittance company or bank operations | ReconArt or another enterprise platform |
ReconArt's Essentials edition allows about 25 million transactions a year, roughly two million a month. Most mid-market controllers match well under one percent of that. If your count lands in the first three rows, a published plan covers you and the difference is tens of thousands of dollars a year.
ReconArt sits between the close suites and the capital markets platforms, so its shortlist usually mixes both.
Pick the group by your data. Trades and positions belong with ReconArt and the capital markets vendors. Bank statements, payouts, invoices and ledger exports belong with corporate tools.
You upload a bank statement and a ledger, payout or invoice file. The engine pairs one to one, one to many and many to one first, and you save the rules that worked afterward instead of specifying them for a services team.
Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Shopify and Amazon settle net. Reconciles splits each payout into charges, refunds, chargebacks and fees, ties it to the bank deposit and books the fees, see payment reconciliation software.
Each suggested match carries a plain reason and a confidence score, so a reviewer approves the work instead of redoing it.
Unmatched, partial, duplicate, amount difference and date difference lines land in one queue, with assignment and comments on Growth and submit, approve and reopen with an audit log on Scale.
1. Export last month's bank statement and the ledger, payout or invoice file it should match.
2. Drop both files into the matcher on the home page and read the matched pairs and reasons.
3. Count what is left in the exceptions queue. That number is the real size of your problem.
4. Save the rules that worked, add your other accounts and export the reconciliation report or journal entries for QuickBooks, Xero or NetSuite.
We would rather you buy the right tool. ReconArt is likely the stronger choice if:
Starter costs $74 per month billed yearly or $149 monthly, with 3 accounts and 3,000 matched transactions a month. Growth costs $199 per month billed yearly or $399 monthly, with 15 accounts, 20,000 transactions, 5 entities and QuickBooks and Xero journal entries. Scale costs $499 per month billed yearly or $999 monthly, with 60 accounts, 100,000 transactions, 25 entities, API and SFTP drop, NetSuite journal entries, SSO and an audit log. Scale billed yearly costs less than four months of the reported ReconArt Essentials fee. Every limit is on the reconciliation software pricing page.
The ReconArt alternatives buyers compare most are BlackLine, Trintech Adra, SolveXia and FloQast for corporate close and reconciliation, and Duco, AutoRek and SmartStream for bank and capital markets work. Teams whose bottleneck is bank, payout and invoice matching also shortlist self-serve reconciliation software such as Reconciles, which publishes prices and needs no implementation.
ReconArt does not publish prices. Third-party listings show Essentials from about $1,500 a month with 5 users and Plus from about $3,000 a month with 10 users, and Vendr reports an average contract of about $49,532 a year. Implementation is usually extra.
Yes, if your volume is in the thousands or tens of thousands of lines a month. Reconciles costs $888 to $5,988 a year billed yearly with no implementation fee, and you can test it on your own files before paying. Above about 100,000 matched lines a month, an enterprise platform such as ReconArt fits better.
ReconArt's customer stories come mostly from banks, payment and money remittance companies, insurers, travel, retail and manufacturing. Its entry edition is sized for about 25 million transactions a year, which reflects that customer base.
Yes. Some teams keep securities or intercompany work in an enterprise platform and move bank, payout and invoice matching for smaller entities into Reconciles, then attach the XLSX or PDF reconciliation report to the close.
Upload a bank statement and a second file. You will know in minutes how much of your reconciliation work is plain matching, and what it costs to fix with a published plan.
